Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany visits SMF President

5 February 2018 – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany, His Excellency Dr Ulrich Andreas Ferdinand Sante, paid a courtesy visit to Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF). He was warmly received by SMF President Mr Douglas Foo on his visit to understand the role SMF played in the local manufacturing industry and to explore any opportunities for collaboration.

During his visit, they talked about the close ties Germany and Singapore shared over the years. Both parties also discussed extensively on how business relationships could be further forged between Germany and Singapore companies.

Germany and Singapore are partners in international politics, science, culture, as well as in trade and investments. Germany is Singapore’s largest EU trading partner. Likewise, Singapore is Germany’s largest ASEAN trading partner.
