SMF and SIMTech inks MOU at MSE 2016

A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between SMF and Singapore Institute of Manufacturing technology (SIMTech) was signed at the opening ceremony of Manufacturing Expo Solution (MSE) 2016. This signing will strengthen collaboration between SMF and SIMTech in the local manufacturing industry through industry outreach programmes.

Through this collaboration, SMF will also be able to help members gain access to relevant technology and build capabilities. This year, co-located with MSE was SIMTech’s sixth edition of Manufacturing Productivity Technology Centre (MPTC) Annual Conference – a good example of this collaboration to promote industry initiatives. Several other collaborative initiatives are in the pipeline such as the setting up of a SMF cluster in the A*STAR Collaborative Commerce Marketplace (ACCM) portal for business matching opportunities.

The signing of the MOU between SMF and SIMTech was witnessed by Dr Koh

Into its third edition, MSE is an annual exhibition for products and solution providers to showcase innovative solutions and cost effect technologies to improve business productivity and efficiency within and beyond manufacturing industries. Organised by SMF and SPHERE Exhibits Pte Ltd, the trade exhibition provides abundant opportunities for business owners to meet, network and deliberate business ideas through the on-ground activities.
