The SMF Attends Combined Opening Ceremony of Trade Shows by Montgomery Events Asia

SMF Secretary-General Mr Lawrence Pek was honoured to be part of the Welcome Party for Minister of State for Trade and Industry, Ms Low Yen Ling at the Combined Opening Ceremony of Speciality & Fine Food Asia and Restaurant, Pub & Bar Asia, Speciality Coffee & Tea Asia, Meat & Poultry Asia and Food2Go Mega Exhibition on 22 June 2022.

Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony to open the Trade Show

During the ceremony, Mr Lawrence Pek signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Montgomery Asia for Food2Go, a business event aimed at promoting innovation in the food and beverage (F&B) takeaway and delivery sector. Under the terms of the MOU, the event will be anchored in Singapore for a minimum of three years.

With the ease of movement restrictions, the SMF is looking forward to organizing Singapore Pavilions at various trade fairs worldwide. This will showcase the country's F&B industry and create new opportunities for businesses to expand their reach and connect with new partners.

The signing of the MOU between SMF and Montgomery Asia is a major step forward for the F&B industry in Singapore. By anchoring Food2Go in the country for the next three years, the event will become a hub for F&B innovation and provide a platform for businesses to showcase their products and services to a global audience.

The Combined Opening Ceremony of Speciality & Fine Food Asia, Restaurant, Pub & Bar Asia, Speciality Coffee & Tea Asia, Meat & Poultry Asia, and Food2Go Mega Exhibition marked a significant milestone for the F&B industry in Singapore.
