In Conversation with Shawn Huang: Opportunities in a Disruptive World

The SMF Youth Network co-organised a dialogue session with J&J Gen-Now on 29 November 2023. Titled "In Conversation with Shawn Huang: Opportunities in a Disruptive World," the session featured Member of Parliament for Jurong GRC, Mr Shawn Huang Wei Zhong, SMF Youth Network Chairman Mr Eugene Yoo, and SMF Council Member Ms Phyllis Ong, and moderated by Ms Jeniece Tiong, Senior Financial Analyst at Johnson & Johnson.

The session gathered young business leaders and entrepreneurs who had the pleasure of hearing their insights on various topics, such as #entrepreneurship and embarking on #digitalisation for their businesses. With Phyllis' recent recognition by EY Singapore as the EY Entrepreneur of the Year, she shared insights about management change, not being afraid of making mistakes, and the view that entrepreneurship is a mindset employees should adopt.

Prior to the event, Eugene gave Mr Huang and a few of the business leaders a tour around the J&J office, where he shared how hot desking has fostered a more collaborative and innovative spirit among the employees.
